Q Hub™ CSS

The Q Hub™ CSS (Central station server) is the new, fast and reliable centralised monitoring solution from Quick®. Versatile features combine to create a dedicated platform for a cost effective centralised video surveillance & control of multiple sites over broadband, ISDN, intranet and local area network.

Features

BS8418 Code of Practice Q Hub™ has been designed around the BS8418 Code of Practice which covers the installation & remote monitoring of detector activated CCTV systems. See PDF for a more detailed report on how Q Hub™ complies with this standard.

Hardware
Utilising a PC server running Linux® based Central Station Software, operator control is either by dedicated Q Hub™ KBD or UI driven using a conventional QWERTY keyboard and mouse.
Highly scaleable, the system is central server distributed so ‘n’ number of operators can log on to the system at any given time. Inbound alarm calls are automatically distributed to the 'next' available operator.
All workstations are fully ‘lock’ downable and are user password protected for enhanced security.

Intuitive User Interface The User Interface (UI) has been designed to be completely intuitive making operator training easy. A clean and uncluttered UI allows the operator to effortlessly navigate sophisticated functions such as alarm resolution, pre-alarm playback, call/drop site, arm remote system etc…

Transmission Q Hub ™ Central Station has been developed to work across a range of communication links & is able to send live, high quality video, audio and data over ADSL/ISDN, LAN/WAN and HTTP (over intranet and internet).

High Quality Images
On the activation of an alarm at the remote site, a pre alarm single image is captured and sent to the CSS, making immediate review and verification of any alarm occurrence fast & easy.

Pre-Alarm Capability
Ease of verification is additionally enhanced by Q Hub’s ability to replay video images prior to the alarm activation. Pre-alarm video footage can reveal additional details about intruder activity prior to the actual alarm cause.

Bi-directional Audio Capabilities
When connected to a remote site, two-way audio can be used simultaneously with live video, to give an audio challenge to potential intruders or speak to people wishing to exit or gain access to the site.

Remote Control Features
Real-time camera windows with remote camera control is extremely intuitive, with an integrated joystick on the Q Hub™ JKBD providing variable speed movement of pan/tilt/zoom cameras at the remote site.
The CSS operator can also;

    • control remote equipment such as lights, gates and door latches.
    • arm/disarm the system’ at the remote site
    • take full control of the remote site’s digital recorder and can interrogate and playback footage from the recording archives

Local Recording at the CSS
All ‘live’ video footage viewed at the Central Station is recorded onto the Central Station hard drive.

Site Map
Easily created site maps give a visual representation of camera positions and names & can aid operator navigation of small and large installations.

High Capacity and Quality
The ‘remote’ site Q Hub™ has up to 16 video , 16 alarm inputs, 4 control outputs and 64 PIR* inputs. Built to very high industrial quality standards for reliable operation in a wide range of environmental conditions, the Hub comes standard as an elegant desktop/19" rack mountable unit .
